If you are unfamiliar with TTJ's work, here are a few words to enlighten you:
TTJ didn't come up with their name...they earned it! One mishap after another has branded this band as one
of the most trouble-prone bands in the Easterne hemisphere. If you get to know them, you'll soon know why!
Based in Osaka Japan, TTJ boast a lineup of two supreme Japanese guitar players that play 7-string guitars
and 6-string basses. Ad one stereotypical Irish singer and a slammin' American drummer and you've got total
chaos...that hits you with high performance and a spinning wall of sound! The band's various musical
backgrounds and culture create a unique blend of rock that the media describes as "...fresh but
nostalgic.","...a thumping pacemaker in your chest!" and "They kick their own asses!"
Since forming in the year 2000, TTJ has marked several accomplishments. Before signing their first record
deal, the band members were featured guests on FM radio stations such as FM Osaka, FM CoCoLo, Kiss
FM, and FM Wai Wai. Radio airplay helped land three songs from their second demo album on a movie
soundtrack called "Maido". In 2004 the band clinched their first record deal on ONKYO's label Premium
Stones, triggering a lot more media attention.
In an era of free downloads however, this media attention has not lead to major success. The TTJ members
still hang on to their day jobs! However, you can still see them playing in venues of all sizes between Fukuoka
and Tokyo...the Hard Rock Cafe, outdoor festivals and fairs, and even smokey bars. Seeing them in any one
of these venues will give listeners a different experience every time. Perhaps that's one reason why
"they kick their own asses!"
In addition to increased radio airplay, the band beamed their first music video into living rooms nationwide
with "Monkey Magic", a beefed-up cover of a 70's mega-band called Godaigo. At the same time
internationally, songs such as Broken Promises and Rock 'N' Roll Crazy reached the waves in countries such
as
Brazil, Poland, UK and even reaching as high as #7 in parts of the USA.
