TTJ didn’t come up with their name – they earned it! One mishap after another has branded them as one of
the most trouble-prone bands in the Eastern hemisphere. From concerts in typhoons to getting caught
outside in their underwear, TTJ is a magnet for any situation that will cause embarrassment and laughter.
Once you get to know them, you will understand why!
Based in Kansai, Japan, TTJ boasts a lineup of two Supreme players with 7-string guitars and 6-string bass
that create a chest-penetrating vibe. Add a stereotypical Aussie party animal with a slamming American
drummer and you get a mix of total chaos and a spinning wall of sound! The band’s variant musical
backgrounds and cultures create a unique blend of rock that the media describes as “Fresh but nostalgic.”, ”
A thumping pacemaker in your chest!” and “They kick their own asses!”
Since forming in 2000, TTJ has marked several accomplishments. Before signing their first record deal, the
band was featured on FM radio stations such as FM Osaka, FM CoCoLo, Kiss FM, FM Wai Wai, and more.
Such radio airplay helped land three songs from their second demo album on the movie soundtrack “Maido.”
In 2004, the band clinched their first record contract on ONKYO’s label, Premium Stones which triggered
further media attention and the opportunity to host a series TV shows on Skyperfect TV. In an era of free
downloads, however, the attention has not lead the members to quit their day jobs. However, you can still see
them playing in venues of all sizes from Kyushu to Tokyo where they are consistent with only two things:
attracting more trouble and kicking their own asses!
